Seeing their growth and transformation is incredibly fulfilling and motivates me to continue doing this meaningful work”. \nModerator: Roger Schaller (Switzerland) \nAbout Memory Reconsolidation and Psychodrama\nWhy do some emotional patterns persist\, even when we understand where they come from? And what makes deeply rooted beliefs and emotional learnings finally shift? \nMemory reconsolidation offers a fascinating perspective on how lasting change may occur. According to this theory\, change becomes possible when an existing emotional expectation is activated and then met with an experience that differs from what is expected. Such a mismatch experience can create an opportunity for old patterns to be revised and new meanings to emerge. \nPsychodrama seems uniquely positioned to create these kinds of experiences. But what actually constitutes a mismatch experience in psychodrama? What role might role reversal\, doubling\, mirroring\, or surplus reality play? And how can the lens of memory reconsolidation deepen our understanding of therapeutic change? \nIn this session\, we will explore these questions together. Through dialogue\, shared reflections\, and examples from practice\, we invite participants to investigate the intersections between memory reconsolidation and psychodrama and to consider what new possibilities this perspective may open for our work. \nWe invite everyone who wishes to participate in this dialogue to register: register form september 1\, 2026
