FEPTO Conference
Invitation
We look forward to welcoming you to Cluj, Romania, next May for the FEPTO Psychodrama Conference.
Psychodrama and Values:
Addressing and Integrating Diverse Perspectives
Event Dates:
Friday afternoon, May 9th – Sunday noon, May 11th, 2025
PRESENTATION OF THE TOPIC
Values play a profound role in shaping individual identities and relationships. Values act as guiding principles that influence how people make decisions, navigate conflicts, and experience the world around them. In psychodrama, values are often at the core of personal dilemmas, emotional struggles, and interpersonal conflicts.
Moreover, in an increasingly globalized and diverse world, we are often confronted with a wide range of differing, and sometimes conflicting, value systems. Addressing the topic of “Values” in a psychodrama setting allows for the exploration of these differences, helping participants reflect on their own values, understand others’ perspectives, and find ways to bridge cultural and moral divides. Psychodrama, with its emphasis on role-playing and enactment, provides an ideal platform for this exploration, enabling participants to step into the roles of others, confront value-based conflicts, and integrate diverse perspectives in a safe and supportive environment. This topic is both timely and essential for fostering deeper self-awareness, emotional resilience, and more meaningful social connections in an increasingly complex world.
LOCAL HOSTS
The event is hosted by SPJLM, in close collaboration with ARPsiC. These two Romanian psychodrama associations have a long history of working together, co-organizing the national conference and psychodrama newsletter, a testament to their strong partnership.
Societatea de Psihodramă ”J.L. Moreno” (SPJLM)
Societatea de Psihodramă ”J.L. Moreno” is a psychodrama training institute and association of psychodrama practitioners. In the 30 years of existence, a number of 60 training groups have been conducted in the Transilvania region of Romania and in Bucharest. The headquarters, located in the city of Cluj, offers an administrative office that serves 20 trainers, 8 supervisors, 60 members and many students and practitioners.
The training is conducted in both Romanian and Hungarian, with students from both ethnic communities collaborating in seminars and participating together in various professional events.
The association was founded in 1994 by a group of psychodramatists who had been trained by Hilde Gött (Germany), and Klára Gallus and Kamilla Sarkady (both from Hungary).
SPJLM has been known to FEPTO through the presence of Horațiu Nil-Albini (who served as the FEPTO President for a while) and also of Eva Varro, Ilona Görög and Simona Vlad.

AsociațiaRomână de PsihodramăClasică (ARPsiC)
AsociațiaRomână de PsihodramăClasică (ARPsiC) is a psychodrama association and training institute which was born with the generous support of Professor Mircea Lăzărescu, following the Psychotherapy Seminars in Gătaia in 1991. The first trainers were students of Giovanni Boria (director of the Psychodrama Studio in Milan), who travelled consistently for a number of years to Romania, providing training, then supervising.
In 1995 the first two training groups of psychodramatists graduated. In the same year, the Romanian Association of Classical Psychodrama was founded, with its initial headquarters in Arad, then in Sibiu, and currently in Bucharest.
At present, ARPsiC has over 200 members and a significant presence in Bucharest, Sibiu, Craiova, Timisoara, Brasov and other cities in the country, providing training and supervision through a team of 9 active specialists working with over 60 trainees and over 40 psychodramatists under supervision.
Along the years, ARPsiC has been represented in FEPTO by Dana Dragoteanu, Irina Gruia, Angela Ionescu, Irina Ștefănescu and others.
