The aim of Training Committee is to define and describe FEPTO training standards for trainees, practitioners and psychodrama trainers, and to provide recommendations and examples of training programs in different application fields of psychodrama. The Training Committee supports trainers’ professional development, and fosters inspiring professional networking among member institutes, as well.
The Training Committee’s task is to monitor the functioning of the Training in Psychodrama, for both students and trainers. To remain aware of difficulties and developments and to discuss proposals for improvement.
We are happy to share with you that the nucleus of the group, created in Ohrid, can grow further and contribute to the renewal and evolution of Psychodrama-Sociodrama Training of FEPTO members in a more concrete way.
We are working on the following topics:
-
- Training for Trainers and their supervision; the way the trainers start their practice; how they are examined and graded.
- Ways of incorporating more Research.
- Monodrama and Psychodrama in group settings.
- An issue that has been raised again and seems to be of concern to the Institutes is the various specialisations.
- Training committee with topics such as sexuality, traumatic experiences, psychogenealogy etc. It seems that, over time and through experience, a more integrated understanding of psychodramatic practice emerges;
- Competencies, which were the focus of our work during previous semesters.
We are continuing this process so that, in time, the Training Committee will be able to bring proposals to the AM for discussion and possible voting. In this way, we aim to further develop the minimal training standards, drawing on the experience and expertise of our Federation’s member institutes to support higher professional standards. While minimal standards cannot encompass every aspect or reflect the highest levels of assessment, they can provide a strong foundation and clear direction for the ongoing development of Psychodrama Training. Another ongoing task is to collaborate with the FEPTO representative to the EAP, Judith Teszáry, on a paper describing the specific competencies of Psychodrama and Sociodrama.
